A little creation for organization

So my daughter is 7 years old, and I love to buy hair accessories for her.  I have recently decided headbands look really cute on her.  She has bookoos of bows and pony O's already, and now we are adding headbands.  Every morning when I walk into the kids shared bathroom to do her hair I look at this messy basket and can never find something to match her clothes.
So I hit pinterest on a mission to figure out a way to organize and display her headbands and hairbows that were more efficient and looked nice.  While on Pinterest I found a couple of things I liked.  First off was this simple ribbon double over that you just put stitches down and hung your headband in the between the stitches.
Second was a hairbow organizer that popped up that was like the boards you would use to hang pictures on....

But then the third picture gave me the idea to combine the two into one very cool project that would hold bows and headbands:

From looking at this awesome kite picture (you wouldn't believe how easy it was) I decided I could run more diagional strips of ribbon across the kite to hold bows, and on kites tail I could hang my head bands.  It is so simple.  You bend a wire coat hanger into a diamond (DUH!  Who would have thought!)  cover with fabric, the person said to use hot glue, but I wanted to make sure it was very sturdy and decided to sew it on.  Attach your ribbon on the kite for your bows, make a long tail that is doubled over and sew spots for the head band to hang.  And attach a ribbon loop at the top to hang it.  Here's my kite....

I started this project after my daughter went to bed about 8 PM, and finished at 10 PM.  So it took 2 hours. But that was because of the hand sewing, if you choose to use a hot glue gun, it will be much quicker, maybe not quite as sturdy though.  Lucy will be so suprised in the morning when we go to fix her hair and she can see all her bows and headbands displayed.

My upcoming plans:
*Clean, declutter, dejunk, go through and organize my laundry/craft room.  This has to be done when the weather breaks to a reasonable tempeture and isn't raining for a few days in a row, because I have to drag everything out on the porch, I have been hitting thrift shops for organizational items to accomplish this mission!
*Spring Break is coming up:  Nate will be with his mom, Lucy and I will have the week alone, we usually try to do something special: go out type stuff, this time I want us to do special stay at home stuff, make a fun recipe together, pedicures, a neat craft, fun kid friendly science experiments, if the weather decides to be nice maybe it will be time to plant my vegetable garden(?) and we can do that together, but have a funfilled week for mom and daughter.  And one day we get to go with her girl scout troup to see the Barnum and Bailey Circus :)  I don't know whos more excited, me or her..... I lied, its me..... I SIMPLY CAN'T WAIT!!
*Hopefully a couple more crafts will be in my future in the next couple of weeks.
