Intro to me

I am the mother to two great kids, my daughter Lucy who just turned 7 and my stepson Nate who will be 13 in April.
Lucy is a handful and a ball of energy, she tends to get in trouble at school and miss recess quite frequently this year.  She is in girlscouts and dance.  We are trying to find what she likes, because tee ball, cheerleading, and gymnastics was not her thing.
Nate is a very well behaved young man.  He is in band, speech team, and 4h.
Then theres my wonderful husband Josh, who is a coal miner and a great husband and dad.  We will be married 9 years March the 20th of this year (WOW!)
I am lucky and blessed to be able to stay at home and not have to work.  I  got a sewing machine for Christmas so I have been playing with sewing.  Although my laundry/craft room is a disaster right now, I'm ready for some warmer weather so I can get in there and go through all my precious junk and get it organized.  I've been hitting thrift shops trying to find organizational items to get my laundry/craft room organized.  When this big project hits I will post pictures.  I am also a major animal lover.  I volunteer with my local animal shelter quite frequently and greatly enjoy it!  I also have 4 furballs of my own
Lelo, my 8 year old reindeer chihuahua.  I got him from an individual who was wanting to rehome him.  At six years of age at that time and not being potty trained, this process took me over a year to accomplish.  But he is worth every minute, every poop pile in the floor I stepped on , and the countless pee I scrubbed up.  He is a lazy boy and just lays around most of the time, but sometimes like to play with his squeaky toys.  But he does not like to play dress up :)
Then I have 3 cats, first is Star age 2, I got her from the local Animal Shelter, she is a very funny girl and loves to curl up in the weirdest spots in the house to sleep.  She is also the boss in the house over the other two kitties, keeping them in line.
Then my two Ragdoll cats Jax (dark colored one) and Ivy (light colored one) who I also got from someone who was rehoming them.  They were fixing to go to the shelter when I agreed to take them.  Jax is a little more shy, he will hide from new people in the house, he has just recently started getting on the couch to cuddle.  Ivy is very friendly.  He likes to headbutt you when you quit petting him, his meow is very loud and demanding.  These two kitties were estimated by our family vet to both be 6 years of age just recently.  I wouldn't trade my animals for anything in the world.

So heres a sneak peek at my family.  And I'm hoping for many more blogs to come!
